Barcelona eye Man United Winger for the January transfer window

FC Barcelona's fragile situation in the wide area is part of concerns for the Spanish giants as they are lacking natural wingers in the squad. With Ansu Fati and Ousmane Dembélé still recovering from their injuries. Certain players like Philippe Coutinho and Yusuf Demir are more of interior instead of natural winger.

This lack of natural wingers has led to Barcelona using Gavi and even Dest to play as a winger.

With Xavi insisting on using natural wingers in his tactics, FC Barcelona will surely be looking to sign a winger in the upcoming January transfer window.

According to the Spanish outlet, Mundo Deportivo, Manchester United's Jesse Lingard is an option for Barca looking forward to the January transfer window as his contract with Man United has only 7 months remaining.

Lingard has already rejected a contract offer from Manchester United over concerns he may not get enough opportunities to keep his place in Gareth Southgate's England squad for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

With only 7 months remaining on his contract and Jesse Lingard not looking to extend it, Manchester United will look to sell Lingard on a cheap deal in the January transfer window rather than losing the 28-year-old on a free transfer.

This can suit Barcelona as it will be a very cheap deal looking from Barca's financial point of view.

According to ESPN, Barcelona will face competition from AC Milan, West Ham and Everton.
